Overview

Traffic signal controllers are the workhouse of signalized intersections. Based on open standards and built on a Linux platform, Q-Free ATC controllers (advanced transportation controllers) are ideal for traffic signal operations and set the scene for the connected world.

ATC controllers have an open architecture platform that organizes and improves traffic signal operations. Leveraging the ATC API, our ATC controllers support multiple applications on the same device. This improves app integration and reduces the amount of equipment in traffic control cabinets.

ATC controller models

Our traffic signal controllers meet or exceed US-based Caltrans (2070) and NEMA specifications. Each ATC controller comes standard with 120 VAC power. However, 220 VAC and 48 VDC are available to meet alternate power requirements.

Every Q-Free ATC Controller comes standard with:

  • On-board web server
  • Linux operating system
  • Unrestricted use license for NTCIP MIBs for Q-Free’s MAXTIME ic
  • Standard with Velocity™ ARM processor for AI-enabled edge computing
  • Legacy PowerPC processors available
