Q-Free expands cybersecurity transparency with public SOC 3 report
The public-facing report reinforces Q-Free’s commitment to cybersecurity and data protection.
Q-Free, a global leader in mobility solutions for smart city infrastructure, today announced the public availability of its SOC 3 report, further reinforcing the company’s commitment to cybersecurity, transparency, and the protection of customer data.
Following overwhelmingly positive customer interest surrounding Q-Free’s SOC 2 Type 2 attestation achieved in 2023, the company pursued a SOC 3 report to make information about its cybersecurity controls more easily accessible to customers, partners, and stakeholders. The report will be publicly downloadable on Q-Free’s website without any lengthy request processes or agreements.
Built on the same rigorous audit criteria as Q-Free’s SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, the SOC 3 report provides a publicly distributable summary validating that Q-Free’s security, availability, and confidentiality controls meet standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
“Transportation infrastructure is becoming increasingly connected and cloud-based, transparency around cybersecurity is more important than ever,” said Whitney Nottage, Q-Free EVP of Traffic Management. “Making our SOC 3 report publicly available reflects our commitment to openness and operational trust.”
Q-Free’s proactive approach to cybersecurity reflects its broader mission to deliver safe, reliable, and secure intelligent transportation solutions. The company’s Kinetic® Mobility platform and the newly launched Dynamic Signals signal control software were designed with cybersecurity at their core.
As cities and transportation agencies increasingly rely on cloud-based and data-driven systems, transparency around how data is managed and protected is becoming more important than ever. The SOC 3 report enables Q-Free to share assurance of its security practices in a format that is accessible to a broader audience without compromising privacy or sensitivity.
To further support industry awareness and education, Q-Free will host a technical session on May 20, 2026 at 1:00pm Eastern with its Director of Software Operations, Mitchell Terry. The session will provide insight into SOC reporting, its relevance for transportation agencies, and why strong data security is so critical in today’s connected mobility landscape.
“Cybersecurity isn’t a one-time milestone — it’s an ongoing commitment woven into how we design, deploy, and support our systems,” said Terry. “SOC 3 helps us communicate that commitment more transparently while continuing to build trust with the agencies and communities that rely on our technology.”
