The Raspberry Platform has developed to a cheap yet stable and powerful platform for close to any (embedded) application. With its second version released in the beginning of this year, the platform offers a quad-core 900MHz ARM Cortex-A7 processor with 1GB of RAM. And with a Raspberry Pi 2 Model B retail price below 40 euros it is still highly affordable. This offers many possibilities also to the traffic market.

We have confirmed these possibilities and provide now an Intrada ALPR library for deployment and usage on this platform. Tests have proven suitability for live video and image processing, typically useful in access control applications.
