Whitney Nottage appointed to lead Q-Free’s ATMS division
One of the industry’s most respected female leaders, Nottage will oversee Q-Free’s traffic management business as the company expands its profile as a software leader.
Q-Free, a global leader in mobility solutions for smart city infrastructure, is pleased to announce the appointment of Whitney Nottage P.E., PTOE as Executive Vice President of Traffic Management. In her new role, Nottage will lead the company’s Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) business line, one of Q-Free’s core enterprises alongside its Tolling division. Her appointment comes as Q-Free continues to expand its capabilities in traffic management, aiming to deliver innovative solutions that bridge the gap between freeway and arterial management.
“Whitney has been central to Q-Free’s traffic management success for years,” said Mark Talbot, CEO of Q-Free. “She is recognized inside our company and throughout the industry for her intellect, insight, and leadership. With her extensive experience and strategic vision, I am confident that she will drive our initiatives forward and empower our customers in new ways.”
In her new role, Nottage stated, “I am thrilled to lead Q-Free’s ATMS business line at such a pivotal time. Our team is uniquely positioned to integrate systems that promote not only efficiency but also sustainability and security. I am passionate about addressing customer challenges with innovative solutions and look forward to collaborating with our talented team to make a meaningful impact.”
Nottage joined Q-Free with the company’s acquisition of Intelight. Throughout her tenure, she has managed the field installations for 5,000 Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) signal upgrades, built a robust customer support system, developed a technical sales team to architect nationwide solutions, and overseen production, project delivery, and software operations. Recognized as one of America’s young transportation leaders, Nottage is a strong advocate for promoting women in STEM, actively supporting initiatives that encourage young girls to explore careers in technology and engineering.
