Q-Free’s Silje Troseth elected first female president of ITS Australia

The historic appointment furthers the trend towards widespread inclusion of diverse voices in the ITS industry

Q-Free is proud to announce that Silje Troseth, Vice President of the Asia-Pacific and General Manager of Australia, has been elected as the new president of ITS Australia, the peak body for intelligent transport systems industry in the region.

Troseth is the first female president of ITS Australia in its 30-year history and brings with her a wealth of experience and expertise. The appointment is also fresh off the news of her selection as a distinguished speaker for Australia’s prestigious National Women in Transport Speaker Bureau.

Grateful for the opportunity to lead

“The opportunity to lead this fantastic organization is remarkable,” Troseth states. “I’m looking forward to carrying on the collaborative spirit established by my predecessors and participating in a forum where ideas and diverse perspectives hold equal value. All while promoting the need for increased diversity, especially female voices, in the ITS industry.”

Troseth has served on the board since 2018 and knows how to continue to deliver on the accomplishments. Whether pursuing innovative technology to improve transport, seeking ways to reduce environmental impact, or promoting diverse voices in the intelligent transportation industry, Silje has spent much of her twenty years in ITS in service to the people, organizations, and technology that improve all aspects of mobility.

“Collaborating and sharing, whether it’s speaking at a conference, listening to customers, or working with competitors, is what the industry needs more of,” Troseth explains. “Solving the most pressing transport issues, like safety, sustainability, and free-flowing traffic, requires teamwork and many voices.”

Congratulations

Q-Free congratulates Silje on her appointment and wishes her all the best in her new role. Q-Free also thanks ITS Australia for its continued partnership and collaboration and looks forward to working together to shape the future of mobility in Australia and around the world.
