Tolling contract in Australia – ~40 MNOK

Reference is made to stock exchange announcement 7 October 2021.

Q-Free has been awarded the contract with Transport for New South Wales to design, supply, and install replacement tolling roadside systems for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel – two key motorway crossings of the Sydney Harbour and critical links in Sydney’s motorway road network.

The contract will have a value of at least 40 MNOK and includes 5 years of service and maintenance.

The replacement tolling equipment is required to support the upgrade of a section of one of Australia’s busiest roads, the Warringah Freeway, where the existing southbound tolling system for the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Harbour Tunnel needs to be relocated and made operational before the existing gantries can be removed.

– We are extremely proud and pleased to be selected as the tolling system contractor for Transport for NSW. This is the third major project for Q-Free in Australia in 2 years and further establishes Q-Free as a preferred tolling system provider in the market,  comments Håkon Volldal, President and CEO of Q-Free.
