What’s the dress code?

California business casual. Don’t know what that means? Throw on a pair of jeans and a polo shirt.

What’s the nearest airport?

The nearest major airport is San Diego International (SAN) roughly 40-minutes from the hotel. In addition, there is a local airport—McClellan-Palomar Airport (CLD)—about 3 miles from the hotel but with limited flight options.

Other options include:
John Wayne (SNA) – 55 miles north in Orange County
Los Angeles International (LAX) – 95 miles north

Do I need a rental car?

Up to you, but not necessary. Uber and Lyft are readily available to/from the airport. All activities will be within a short Uber ride from the hotel or provided by the hotel via trolley-style shuttle. However, on-site self-park or valet parking is available for $10/day.

Are meals provided during the meeting?

Yes! We’ve got you covered. A light breakfast, lunch, and evening meals will be provided each day of the meeting. You’ll have plenty of time to network and refuel.

Is there a restaurant or store onsite?

Yes. There is a restaurant onsite as well as room service. A small market is also onsite for the basic necessities and freshly prepped items.

Is there a gym or spa onsite?

Yes! There is a gym, spa, and outdoor pool at the property for you to use and enjoy.

Can I bring my family to the event?

Our meetings are geared for staff only, but we recognize that San Diego is a family-friendly location with lots to do and see. Your family will enjoy more of the local attractions over our agenda. If you are planning to bring your family, please let us know.

What’s the weather like in Carlsbad in February?

Expect mild, comfortable weather with daytime highs in the mid-60s and cooler evenings in the 40s. A light jacket or sweater is recommended. Since weather can be unpredictable, we encourage you to check the forecast just prior to the event. We’ll also share any updates as needed.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport using the train?

1. Take the San Diego Flyer shuttle (free shuttle) from SAN to Old Town Transit Center. It runs every 20 – 30 minutes.
2. Board the COASTER train—tickets for Zone 3 can be purchased via the PRONTO app or ticket vending machines—from Old Town Transit Center to Carlsbad Poinsettia Station or Carlsbad Village Station (either are 4 miles from the hotel).
3. Take a Rideshare to the Westin Carlsbad Resort & Spa.

In total, this trip will take you roughly 60-75 minutes.
