Monash University – Melbourne, Australia

With over 70,000 students and 17,000 faculty members, Monash University has an abundance of parking options. July 2017, Monash added more than 800 spaces to their campus.

Needing an cutting-edge parking guidance system (PGS) Monash approached Q-Free to provide a combination of single space sensors, level counting sensors (USDS), ALPR and induction loops in various locations across the campus.

Q-Free provided customized single-space monitoring, level-counting and induction loops PGSs for each garage, totaling over 6,800 spaces. Entrance and level signs guide drivers and display space availabilities. Q-Free’s Visual Control Center software package is used to manage the system, providing real-time parking data, and an easy user interface and statistic information.
