Live demos

Demo of the Stockholm Congestion Charging system
The Stockholm Congestion Charging System is internationally renowned for its success. It was the world's first fully automated congestion charging system based on Video Tolling, and initiated by the Stockholm authorities to reduce inner city traffic pollution. Today the figures speak clearly; air pollution is reduced by 10%, traffic has declined by 20-25% and travel time is reduced by 30%.

The Experience Park hosts (the Swedish Road Administration, the City of Stockholm, and Q-Free) invite you to tour the small scale model roadway by taking a guided stroll or a ride in an electric car. Delegates are welcome to see the Stockholm Congestion Charging system in operation in small scale, driving electric cars to experience how the state of the art video tolling system works.

Demo of the future of ITS (Cooperative Systems - CVIS)
Cooperative systems are the future of ITS (Intelligent Transport Systems). Cooperative systems utilize both vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to infrastructure (V2I) communication, enabling a diversity of new applications for safety, efficiency, and infotainment. Q-Free has a leading role in the CVIS project, which is funded by the EU.

Real-life demonstrations will allow participants to experience how the car and road infrastructure help to avoid accidents, make trips faster and more enjoyable. Systems are supported by cutting edge technologies such as vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-infrastructure communications, enhanced positioning and cooperative network management.

There will be one demonstration, including both trucks and cars, on a test field in the parking area and one public road tour. The latter will take place in the streets around the exhibition area.
